Suicidal Tendencies

Suicidal Tendencies es una grupo de Hardcore Punk, que eventualmente incorporaron elementos del thrash metal a sus trabajos, por lo que se les considera pioneros del crossover.
Se formaron en los Angeles en 1982, y son considerados como una leyenda en la escena Hardcore Punk norteamericana.
Ganaron fama con su primer disco, y en especial gracias a la cancion "Institutionalized".
Sus dos primeros discos abordan el hardcore punk veloz, lo que los haria muy reconocidos en la escena Skater naciente.
Es en su tercer disco que deciden agregar elementos del thrash metal, manteniendo su base hardcore, pero al mismo tiempo volviendose mas tecnicos, obteniedo fama y a partir de aqui comienza su apogoeo, terminando con su ultimo disco "Suicidal For Life", con la separacion de la banda.
En 1999 Mike Muir revive a Suicidal Tendencies, pero esta ves sin la participacion de Robert Trujillo, es la nueva alineacion que logra lanzar dos discos. La banda aun sigue activa y se rumorea que este año lanzaran un nuevo trabajo.
