Propagandhi

Banda Canadiense de Hardcore punk, formados en 1986 por Chris Hannah y Jord Samolesky, basados en hacer un grupo de punk con tendencias anarquistas.
Son anti racistas, anti fascistas, anti homófobos, anti sexistas, anti carne, anti pieles, anti gobierno y anti empresas. Odian las biografías, las fotos y los dossieres de prensa, los discos de promoción, los códigos de barras y la mayoría de los grupos que están en la industria musical.
Para 1992 Propagandhi toco en un concierto con NOFX, es asi que Fat Mike los auspicia para sacar su primer disco, bajo el sello discografico Fat Wreck Chords. Asi para 1993 lanzan "How to clean everything" de donde se desprenden canciones clasicas como "Anti manifesto" y "Haillie Sallasse, Up Your Ass". Luego sacan un 7" llamado "How To Clean A Couple Of Things", con ambas producciones comienzan giras mundiales que le dan cierto renombre a Propagandhi.
En 1996 grabaron "Less talk, More Rock", el título del álbum fue una burla, ya que los Propagandhi eran conocidos por sus largos prólogos durante sus presentaciones en vivo.
De este disco sobresalen canciones como "Apparently I'm a P.C. Fascist (Because I Care About Both Human and Non-Human Animals)" y "... And We Thought That Nation States Were a Bad Idea".
Despues de este disco abanona la banda el bajista, Chris y Jord fundaron el sello G7 Welcoming Commitee Records.
Reclutaron a Todd Kowalski (I Spy) para remplazar al bajista.
Luego sale a la luz “Where Quantity is Job ..1” un recopilatorio de temas en vivo, covers y demos.
Para el 2001 lazan su tercer disco “Today's Empires, Tomorrow's Ashes”, vale destacar de este disco la cancion "Purina Hall Of Fame".
Propagandhi lanzó su álbum más reciente, “Potemkin City Limits”, el 18 de Octubre de 2005. El contenido lírico de las canciones se convirtió aun más marcado y extenso que el presentado en el “How To Clean Everything”. Como “Today's Empires, Tomorrow's Ashes”, el álbum tiene contenido multimedia, con un numero de archivos Adobe PDF sobre temas como el Parecon y veganismo, y un site con enlaces a las páginas web de las organizaciones que Propagandhi apoya.
Se agregó al grupo al guitarrista David Guillas, haciendo la banda un cuarteto por primera vez. Guillas, apodado “The Beaver” (“El Castor”), es un ex integrante de dos bandas de rock de Winnipeg, Giant Sons y Rouge Music.
El 24 de Abril del 2007, G7 Welcoming Commitee Records lanzó un DVD en vivo de Propagandhi, para poder también recabar fondos para el Grassy Narrows Blockade y el Middle East Children’s Alliance.
