Shelter

Tras la disolcuion de Youth Of Today (una importante banda del movimiento Straight Edge), su ex vocalista Ray Cappo decide abandonar la escena Hardcore y viajar a la India, donde se impregna de su cultura y del estilo de vida Hare Krishna. Aunque en la ultima etapa de Youth Of Today ya habia demostrado interes por el Krishna.
Asi en base al Hare Krishna decide formar nueva banda, asi se concreta la banda Shelter.
Shelter es una banda importante para el Hardcore en los noventas, se movia por el lado del Hardcore Melodico recien explorado, enviando mensajes positivos, promoviendo los buenos valores, y criticas a una sociedad decadente, influyendo en la creacion de nueva escena y posiblemente un nuevo genero: El Krishnacore, aunque ya se tenian antecedentes de este con bandas como Cro-mags y Cause For Alarm.
Shelter edito su primer album en 1990 y desde entonces estuvieron en actividad hasta el 2001, cuando editaron The Purpose, The pasion y se separaron. En el 2006 regreso Ray Cappo con Shelter y edito el ultimo disco bajo el nombre de "Eternal".
