Los Peyotes

Los Peyotes es una brutal banda de Garage Punk, el salvajismo puro hecho musica!
Lideres de la revaloracion del sonido garage rock que reinaba en sudamerica en los años sesenta, se consideran influenciados por Los Saicos, The Sonics, Los Yorks, The Seeds, etc.
La banda es de origen Peruano-Argentina (aunque debo decir que aqui en Peru no son muy reconocidos y creo que nunca han tenido una presentacion), comenzaron tocando a mediados de los noventas en locales underground de Argentina, a lo largo de este tiempo han perfeccionado su sonido, siendo quizas la mejor banda de Garage rock sudamericana de la actualidad. Una descarga obligatoria para todos.

Safe

Wau! hace unos momentos volvi a escuchar a esta banda, y me dieron ganas de compartirla por aca.
Pues bien, Safe es una banda Italiana, que basa sus canciones en el mensaje positivo, el desarrollo espiritual, en favor de las caracteristicas de un buen modelo de persona desde la perspectiva del Krishna. La musica ha de recordarnos a una de mis bandas favoritas: Shelter. Pero claro Safe tiene lo suyo que va desde el Hardcore melodico, Pop punk, melodias pop, etc. Un bonito grupo que trae un mensaje esperanzador.

Si hablamos de Post Rock en la actualidad, seria un crimen no mencionar a Mogwai, una de las mejores y reconocidas bandas de Post Rock. Desde que aparecieron a mediados de los noventas en Escocia, la banda ha estado ligada a los multiples grupos con los que el post rock se ha ligado.
Han pasado por varios discos, entre los cuales han mutado de uno en uno, entre los primeros discos que editaron uno que otro era mejor que los anteriores, pero puedo decir que para mi gusto los 3 ultimos discos que han lanzado son recomendables.

Banda Indie, Emo 90's de Rockford, Illinois. Una de las ultimas bandas independientes Post-Mineral que trataron de ofrecer una salida indie al decadente genero. Realizaron un sonido derivado de los acordes de "The Blacktop Cadence" como tambien de "The Promise Ring" pero algo mas lento, con una voz que recuerda a "Joan Of Arc" y en algunos aspectos a "Mineral", agregaron a esta base melodica los perfectos estallidos de una caja de ritmos, que en algunos casos ayuda a mantener la hilacion, creando un sonido gratificante y nostalgico manteniendo la escencia magica del emo 90's.

Eric The Red

Banda Post Punk, Emo 90's de Lincoln, Nebraska. Superbanda compuesto por "Rich Higgins" de "Sideshow" y "Dave Callahan" de "Moonshake" en las vocales, que juntos lograron realizar una de las primeras grabaciones de retrospectiva de los primeros años del Post Punk que evoca el mas puro sonido de "Gang of Four" o "Wire", pero tambien posee una sutil muestra de emo 90's con el lado B "My Hero Halo" algo tipico en el sello de "Caulfield Records". "Eric The Red" es uno de los documentos musicales que nos describen la influencia indirecta del Post Punk en el emo 90's.

Llevo ocupado bastante tiempo, pero ahora si prometo subir cosas buenisimas. Comienzo con esta banda que ya ha sido posteado aqui, considerados el lado melodico del metal alternativo a lo que se podria considerar Post Grunge, con una evidente influencia del emo 90's y para los que no sepan a lo que me refiero chekeen "The Hitchhiker". Resulta que sorprendieron a fines del año que paso con el esperado regreso pero lastima que fue momentaneo y bueno para conmemorar eso, dejo en sus manos el album debut "Another Plebeian" en el cual se iniciaban con un sucio sonido metalcore cargado de furia y energia, pero es clara la experimentacion con partes melodicas que seria la clave para lo que vendria despues, tambien adjunto el demo de antes de que separaran con un sonido muy acorde al "The Coastaline Fire".
